The OpenGov Hub and Community Solutions Program (CSP) invite you to an honest discussion on successes and shortcomings of international development, focused on learning directly from global grassroots leaders about what works and doesn’t and how we can better incorporate the voices of end beneficiaries.
CSP fellows are exceptional young civil society leaders working on a variety of social issues in Africa, the Middle East, CEE, South Central Asia, Asia Pacific and South America. These fellows are developing their technical expertise and leadership skills through placements at U.S. organizations, while also sharing their unique knowledge and skills on how to best address community development needs.
Several current CSP fellows in DC, particularly those working in difficult contexts, will speak out about their direct experiences on the ‘receiving end’ of international development. Additionally, we will share and discuss the findings from a survey conducted of nearly 400 CSP leaders across the globe which collected their experiences on this issue. Finally, we will offer attendees the opportunity to speak with fellows in small groups in a World Café format.
